I thought maybe it was time for a blog post. You know, one that involves actual pictures taken with a camera and not a phone. Remember those?
It isn’t every day that SD {sweet daddy, for those of you just visiting} takes center stage. As you know, two weeks ago he was in New Orleans for the BCS National Championship game. He’s been asking me for a week why I haven’t posted his pictures yet, especially considering that I hounded him about taking a camera! I doubt I could have convinced him to write this post, but he did manage to supply lots of good text messages. I was afraid he would get bored with me quick sending him constant messages to see where he was and what he was doing, but we actually managed to talk for most of the night. Along with some pictures and a video here is how the conversation went.

I gave him a pretty hard time about how the pictures he took with the camera are all beautiful, but that there isn’t a single one of him! He got a few with his phone but the quality is terrible. He pretty much made fun of me and said that taking a picture in the dome was the last thing he was thinking of. WE JUST WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! So… phone pic it is.
As completely and ridiculously jealous as I am that I wasn’t there and foregoing the fact that we COULD NOT have afforded two of those tickets, I am so glad he was there. I’m glad that even though he sat by himself, he got to celebrate with his second favorite person in the world. He seriously didn’t stop talking about it for days. We ordered fresh copies of the newspaper and have a stack of fun memorabilia to frame. We even watched the game again on TV later in the week so that he could see it from another perspective.
And my favorite picture of the game? LSU gear on sale… the morning after. Roll Tide.
And just in case you didn’t hear it over Nick’s post game interview, here is my husband cheering at the top of his lungs. Hang on through the fight song ’cause this Rammer Jammer is worth it. Pardon the squeals and dirty words.
