Our SD is already in Tuscaloosa this morning. We had a lazy morning and watched some Spongebob while we ate our breakfast. Both girls were up at 7 o’clock this morning {this is sleeping late} and believe it or not, that made 13.5 hours for Sophie! She fell asleep at 5:30 last night for a “nap” and never woke up.
If you look closely, you can see my Watermelon coffee mug. I folded a trillion loads of laundry, drank two yummy cups of coffee and watched a few movies this morning.
The girls built a makeshift fort behind Sophie’s dollhouse and made her piggy bank squeal with some spare change.
I planned my gameday outfit, new skinnies, red turtleneck and my puffy vest. I’m definitely taking a scarf and my fingerless gloves for today. It is perfect football weather!
I thought about working on Ella’s Halloween costume for a bit, but it never happened.
This is Ella’s new hamper which she is pretty impressed with. I picked it up at a yard sale a few weeks ago for $20. It reminded me so much of these from Serena & Lily that are way outside of my price range!
Speaking of that yard sale, I got this really cool brass pineapple that I keep matches in and this great solid wood dresser for the dining room. I debated painting it, but after living with it for a month I really like the stain. It matches our floors pretty perfectly and is a nice change of pace from all the other painted furniture around here. We filled it with stationery and craft supplies. Now Ella has easy access to her things, but Sophie can’t really wrangle the drawers quite yet. Thank goodness!
See those pretty botanical prints? I found a site on-line where you can download them for free {copyright + royalty free} and just printed them on cardstock at Kinko’s for less than a dollar each. I framed them in the white IKEA Ribba frames we used for SK’s birthday pictures and called it a day. I really love how they look above the dresser.
I bought a Groupon several months ago for a gallery wrapped canvas and somehow managed to forget about it. I finally ordered our family portrait last week and we are in LOVE with it. Now to decide where to hang it. Concrete walls don’t make for quick decisions.
That just about covers what’s going on around here. I think I’ll eat some cold pizza, drop the girls off with their Garan and head down to Tuscaloosa. It’s time to track down my hubby and get my game day on. Roll Tide!
