Can we talk about how much fun this little bit is? She has so much personality! Josh and I have been talking about what Ella was like at this age and how similar or different they are from one another. I don’t remember Ella being so energetic and expressive at this age. I’ve heard other mommies say that the second one learns these things so much earlier because they have someone to watch and learn from. I absolutely agree. She laughs and giggles and squeals all the time. She pumps her arms and legs incessantly. Her new favorite things to do are to look at herself in the mirror and love on Beemer. It’s like she’s only just discovered we even have a dog and thinks it’s so funny when they are nose to nose.
We got the Boppy pillow out a few nights ago to practice with our balance and it is really helping a lot. She sat right here for an hour while I cut coupons and played with Ella in the floor. Eventually, she would turn over and lose all of her toys and we’d have to “reset”. Generally, though, she played happily with a pile of her favorites as long as we were within reach.
Josh snapped these while I was setting up the birthday party a few weeks ago and they make me laugh every time I look at them. We see this on a regular basis because she DOES NOT know how to be still! She rolls around and scoots backwards and the next thing you know she’s upside down and tangled with this confused look on her face.
We’ve also had several great minutes of sitting time. She is getting really good at balancing herself and can go from sitting to laying on her belly pretty well. She doesn’t often tip backwards, but she does lean really far forwards, so you have to keep a good eye on her. I think she seems really proud of herself when she does something new like sitting and we are certainly proud of her, too!
