Slowly but surely, I’m getting my Christmas decorations up. I’m thinking about leaving them up the month of January since I’m so late to the game. I’m usually completely decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this whole “bun-in-the-oven” situation is completely throwing me for a loop! I’m working hard to get everything done in time for The Nester’s home tour on Monday, so come back for more pretties between now and then.
Last night, I managed to get Ella’s room decorated and she was so excited. We used the same white feather wreaths and small white tree from last year, we just added a few ornaments and a fluffier tutu for the skirt this year.
We sat the tree up on top of her side table and it looks so pretty! It also helps that I don’t have to vacuum around it or worry about her moving the ornaments from branch to branch.
Most of the ornaments are pink and frilly, angels and ballerinas. Right up her alley!
This bassinet was the first ornament I bought for her after she was born.
These sweet ballet shoes were mine as a little girl. I had a ballerina tree every year, too.
Here is a close up of a few ornaments and you can see the feather wreaths I made last year hanging in the background. I just wrapped a white feather boa from Hobby Lobby around a styrofoam wreath form and hung it with a loop of ribbon from her valances. I love them and they look pretty all winter long.
This isn’t a picture of Ella’s room, but with the decidedly ballerina themed post, I decided to share them anyway. Do you know how this picture thrills my soul? I know only three of these stockings will be filled this year, but I couldn’t help but add Sophie’s to the mix since we already had it. I debated on whether or not to buy it since the toe of this year’s PBK stockings don’t have gingham on them, but Ella couldn’t stand that our other options weren’t ballerinas like hers! What do you think about the slightly different design? I actually bought three more when I ordered ours for “future” children, but none of them seemed frilly enough for miss Sophie Kae.
