Try to ignore the fact that my hair looks weird in this picture and in general, I look LARGE and in charge. Also ignore the fact that K is hiding Bunny behind her back. Instead, focus on the VISION that is my sister! Again, let me remind you that I’m not the photographer in this family, nor is Emily, who took this picture {I love you, Emily}. I can’t wait for you to see Jessica’s pictures, because not only will the photography knock your socks off, but you’ll get a much clearer picture of the awesomeness of my sister and her fabulous dress.
Anyway, the point of this post was a little wedding-goodness recap. Remember how I said I was going to take lots of pictures so I could show you the festivities while we were waiting on the real thing? Well, don’t be mad, but that didn’t really happen. We had such a great time that I never really thought about my camera. Weird, huh?
Instead, we had a fabulous girly morning and an even better wedding afternoon. K, Emily, Malinda, Jessica and I hung out most of the morning. We ate lots of chicken salad and pasta salad. We told a few silly stories that can’t dare be repeated. Malinda did our makeup and it was beautiful {Malinda, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU and please comment so that I know your blog address! I wanted to link to you and couldn’t}. And we all watched K be transformed into a stunning bride.
We stood in the window of her childhood bedroom and watched her take a practice run down the aisle. Cory was waiting at the end with his back to her and when he turned around we were all crying. It didn’t help that some sappy song was playing on the radio. What we really needed was some booty-music. His face lit up and just confirmed the love that we see between them every day.
The ceremony was precious. The weather was a little chilly. Ella only said hey to me once and managed to be pretty quiet while she picked flowers and broke sticks off of the arbor. We had a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends and I hope that it was EVERYTHING that KCory wanted it to be.
We understand they made it safely to Savannah this afternoon and are enjoying a wonderful honeymoon together. I can’t believe my little sister is a wife. It’s weird, but I am so proud for her and excited that she has found her Beloved.
