We had a great time and the kids were remarkably well-behaved. Four and a half hours later, however, we were all exhausted. We got lots of pretty things… Ella got a fall wardrobe and I bought lots of Christmas presents.
If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you scroll on down to the next post to see our Santa picture for the year. Imagine that sweet Jackson’s looks very similar. We had been talking about Santa at our house for days, getting ready. Ella’s been talking about sitting in his lap and taking a picture, about how she was going to ask for dishes and clothes and a beanbag chair. Even in line she was SO excited. She waved and yelled at him to look at her. When we were next in line and 3 feet from the most beautiful Santa Claus, she was still waving and they were already talking to one another. She said, “Momma, let’s go over there!” When I took the two steps separating us from Santa Claus, her entire demeanor changed. She didn’t want to sit with him after all, much less ask for toys and candy.
