I know that December arrived last week, but let’s face it — this week feels like the real start to the holiday season. We spent the weekend decking our halls, finishing up our Christmas shopping <praise hands!>, and wrapping all the gifts to stack under our tree. We are guaranteed to be wearing family Christmas pajamas with hot chocolate in hand for the next twenty days!
I’m so excited for this week on the blog — I have such fun posts to share with you guys. Come back tomorrow for a full recap on everything we’ve done in November (along with our monthly infographic!), on Wednesday I’ll be sharing my final gift guide of the season (hello, hipster husbands +a Wardrobe Wednesday link up), Thursday will be a bonus style post full of holiday ideas and on Friday we’re sharing letters. Today, I’m joining ten of my favorite ladies for another round of must have gift guides. The best part? We’re each giving away a gift of our own! Be sure to scroll to the bottom of today’s post for details on how to enter, as well as links to all twelve posts.Warning: Affiliate links appear in the following post. This gift guide might as well be called “the list of things that Kristin wants for Christmas (minus the few she already has).” I mean, what creative person doesn’t need a font inspired graphic tee? On the off chance you don’t speak creative, and are aiming to stay under budget, then this gift guide is for you. Of these fourteen favorites, only three are more than $25!
| Helvetica Graphic Tee. Everybody needs a graphic tee in their life and this Helvetica one is perfect.
| Polaroid Zip Printer. I don’t have this zippy little printer, but I sure wish I did (hint, hint). It plugs directly into your smart phone and spits out adorable little polaroid photographs perfect for scrapbooking, refrigerator hanging, and more. I am terrible about having iphone snaps printed and this would solve all of those problems!
| Smart Phone Lens Kit. Another product that I haven’t tried, but I am itching to grab some magnetic lenses for my phone. Not every situation calls for the big girl camera and I would love a few other options for making my iphone snaps as beautiful as possible!
| Washi Tape Collection. I met a few ladies last week who had never heard of washi tape?! If you haven’t fallen in love with these bright rolls of paper tape, then you are missing out. Use them to wrap gifts, decorate your desk calendar or to hang art on the walls. Washi tape is versatile, beautiful and not sticky enough damage your surfaces.
| Hand Lettering by Melissa Wells. I am a huge Melissa Wells fan and have followed her on Instagram (@makewells) forever. She draws the most beautiful flowers and hand lettered art. I can’t wait to get my hands (no pun intended) on her hand lettering book and try my best to write as beautifully as she does.
| Hand Lettering 101. Another book to amp up your calligraphy skills.
| 642 Things to Draw. I bought a similar book for a gift exchange last year and I regret not getting myself one! This version is full of fun things to doodle and would be just as fun for a novice as that friend who can draw everything. There is even a younger version for the budding artists in your life.
| Fujifilm Instax Camera. If you haven’t snagged this tiny camera yet, you might be the very last hold out! Ella got one from Santa a few years ago and we all fight over it constantly. The photos are nostalgic and remind me of the polaroids of my childhood! The prints are perfectly tiny and look great framed, in your scrapbook or hanging out in a bowl on your coffee table.
| Colored Pencils. Everyone loves colored pencils and this set of 48 comes in a cute little canister. Need I say more?
| SkipHop Duo. I know what you’re thinking: this is a diaper bag. Well, that’s true, but ten years later and mine is still going strong. These bags might be my favorite thing ever — they have pockets galore, are made of durable fabrics, have amazing stroller clips to fasten to anything, AND they look nothing like a diaper bag. I have a solid red version (because, dad bag) from when Ella was little and we still carry it on all trips and fill it full of craft and art supplies. This is the perfect airplane / craft class / road trip bag for all of your favorite goods.
| Pantone Coffee Mug. I am a sucker for cute coffee mugs, but this might be my favorite. It comes in so many beautiful Pantone colors, but the pink one is calling my name.
| Pantone Postcard Set. A boxed set of postcards in the style of Pantone’s color decks. Send them to friends, hang them on your inspiration board, or frame a series for above your desk!
| Moleskine Dotted Journal. My favorite journal for taking notes of all kinds. You can get lined or grid versions if you prefer, but the dotted one is my absolute favorite. These are perfect as book journals, the holder of lists, gratitude journaling or (my favorite use) bullet journaling.
| Typeface Memory Game. How cute is this design inspired memory game?! This game includes twenty-five sets of cards, each in a different font family, to challenge your concentration. The kit includes a typographical glossary, font histories, and information about the evolution of type design.
